NWC Distances Self From Lagos APC Guber Primary

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dissociated itself from the governorship primary of the party held in Lagos State on Monday, October 2, 2018.

This position was made known by Chairman of the Lagos Governorship Electoral Panel, Chief Clement Ebri.

According to a statement issued by the committee, accreditation and voting at the APC Gubernatorial Primary was yet to commence at the various centres.

He said distribution of electoral material only commenced by 1pm today, followed by accreditation and voting which will be conducted by the APC NWC appointed officials, in order to ensure a free, fair and credible primary.

The statement said Lagosians, particularly members of the APC, should disregard reports and footages of elections in some wards in the state posted online, as no state party official was empowered to accredit or conduct the Lagos Gubernatorial primary.
