A Russian citizen identified as Svetiana Alexandrovna has been accused of assaulting some Nigerian entrepreneurs who lodged in her hotel in Enugu State, Nigeria, with officers of the Nigeria Police Force allegedly doing nothing to stop her despite reporting the matter to them.
It was gathered that Svetiana works as the General Manager of New Ikenga Hotel and Resort Nsukka in Enugu and the businessmen and women, who were at the hotel, were allegedly abused racially by the woman.
It was learnt that an export company had gone to the New Ikenga Hotel and Resort to have its management and staff get-together, but received an inhumane treatment from the Russian.
The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday, April 15, 2018 and while at the hotel’s bar, a member of the company using the facility vomited after drinking to stupor, but rather that instructing her staff to assist their customer, Svetiana allegedly started calling the drunk customer several unprintable names including ‘king of the forest,’ ‘homosapien,’ ‘black goat’ and others.
This Russian lady, who has been alleged of owning her employees two months’ salary, rained these unprintable names on the customer while covering her nose to suggest that her Nigerian customers were oozing and not of her racial class.
She screamed at him and others like worthless animals with confidence and ordered her security officers to throw the guy out of the hotel premises and was allegedly beaten like a criminal with bruises in his body.
As if the humiliation by a Russian on their father’s land was not enough, the next day, while the company’s management team was having a meeting at the hotel, some police officers stormed in and took them to their station.
At about 10:45am, when the suspects got to the police station, Svetiana, who reported them to the police, did not show up till about 5pm and to the shock of others, she continued raining curses on the Nigerians in the presence of the DPO, Badamosi Mohammed, who was allegedly begging her to stay calm.
The worst happened when one of the employees of the company tried to tell their own side of the story, the DPO shouted him down and walked him out of his office.
The worst shock happened when they left the station at about 5:30pm when the DPO directed the company to pay the Russian woman a full day’s hotel bill and foot the medical bill of the wounded victim.
