‘Echoes Of Africa’ Auditions For 7000 Cast In New Cinema Film

The Nigerian Movie Industry, Nollywood is set to witness a major revolution as International Film Production outfit, Echoes of Africa Poetic Theatre Limited auditions for a new film project, tagged “When the gods Cry”.

Speaking during a breakfast session with Entertainment Editors at the Sheraton Hotel in Lagos, Engr. David Abakpa, chief executive officer of ‘Echoes of Africa’ poetic theatre and executive producer of the epoch making film project said that ‘when the gods cry’ is a documentary film project based on the implementation of the rights of the African Child and Gender Equality Worldwide.

According to Abakpa, ‘when the gods cry’ seeks to promote due process by repositioning the mill brook common wealth action on socio-economic development, Harare Declaration and statement in Zimbabwe as displayed by African Business Roundtable (ABR) For African Private Sector  Continental Development signed in May 1979. It addresses the issues of GENDER INEQUALITY and DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. This film sees Domestic Violence as a violation of the individual and collective rights, Abakpa posited.

Speaking further, Engr. Davis Abakpa who is a renowned international film maker said, “Our target is the Oscars, we want to use this project ‘when the gods cry’ to reshape and revolutionised Nollywood. When the gods cry is highly poetic in nature, style and rendition while the standard is world class,” Abakpa said

The International film enthusiast also posited that when the gods cry is a blockbuster cinema project that will further project the image of Nigeria in a fantastic and positive light before the international community as a leader in arts, theatre and film making.

On his part, Obi Madubogwu, also known as king of musanga, the producer of the over seven thousand cast film said that Echoes of Africa has carefully selected the best hands in the Movie industry to deliver a world class production. According to Obi, ‘when the gods cry’ is supported by stellar crew who are determined to deliver on the assignment.

Also speaking at the breakfast meeting, one of the producers of ‘When the gods Cry’ film project Don Pedro Aganbi said that Auditions are billed for Lagos, August 16, at the Banquet hall of the National Theatre, while the Audition for Calabar, cross Rivers state is billed for August 23 at the cultural centre in Calabar. Enugu will have its turn on August 26 at the National Museum, 65 Abakaliki Road, by Ogwuyi Junction-new berries, Enugu.

Don Pedro Aganbi who is also the chairman Actors Guild of Nigeria, Lagos Chapter stated that a website www.whenthegodscry is already up for further esquires.
