FG Offers To Help Capture Munich Horror Shooters

President Muhammadu Buhari has strongly condemned the shootings that occurred on Friday at a busy shopping mall in Munich, Germany.

On Friday evening, about three gunmen opened fire on shoppers at the Olympic Shopping Mall in Munich. More than eight persons were said to have died from the attack.

Buhari, in a statement issued on Saturday by one of his media aides, Femi Adesina, expressed “deep shock and horror at the shootings.”

Buhari, on behalf of Nigeria, sent “his most sincere condolences to the families and friends of victims of the barbaric act.”

He described the incident as “quite unfortunate and inconceivable”, but expressed “confidence that with the unanimity of purpose from all forces around the world, the workers and perpetrators of these evil acts will not prevail.”

He then assured “the people of Germany that Nigerians as a people are standing with them at this time”, promising that the government was “ready to assist in any way to defeat the planners and executors of such crimes.”
