A student of the University of Lagos, UNILAG, has reportedly died after he slumped while playing football with his friends.
The victim, identified as Odusami Ajibola Mathew, was said to be a 500 level student of the Department of Estate Management of UNILAG.
According to a statement issued by the suspended University of Student Union ULSU, Mathew died on Friday after he slumped at school sport centre while playing football.
Also, Secretary of Faculty of Environment Sciences Students Association, FESSA, said in a statement that, “Though he was at the Faculty as well as sport centre yesterday, his death is a big shock to us and we will always remember him.”
Authorities of UNILAG were yet to speak on the issue.
