Joe Aihende Returns To Nollywood With ‘Amara’

After about eight away from the Nigerian movie industry, top producer, and showbiz promoter, Joe Aihende popularly known as MJ, has made a stunning comeback to the scene.

Aihende, who is the producer of award winning film ‘Check Point’, according to the latest information at our disposal, has come out with a new film titled ‘Amara’.

The movie was shot in Zurich (Switzerland) and Lagos (Nigeria), we learnt.

The flick features top rate actors from Europe and Nigeria.

The line-up includes Anthony Monjaro, Ali Nuhu, Yvonne Jegede, Judith Audu and Yemi Blaq. It also features popular actors from Switzerland and Germany. These include; Jennifer Mulinde Schmid, Sibylla Rausmussen, Marco Zubinden, Sarah Gmüh etc

Amara movie, is the story of a 42-year old Nigerian man living in Europe (Switzerland), who after a failed marriage to a European woman, decides to return to his native country Nigeria in search of a wife. He gets entangled in a triangle with two women bankers. One wants him at all costs while the other is indifferent. His mother believes she can help him find the right woman, while his European ex-wife wants him back.

A highly emotional and suspenseful drama, full of intrigue with an unpredictable ending.

Amara movie is schedule to be premiered in Zurich Switzerland on the 24.09.16 during the Zurich Film Festival. Other premiere dates have also been scheduled for Houston Texas and Atlanta in USA in October

The Nigeria premier and cinema release will come up later in November 2016.

According to the Executive Producer, Joe Aihende, Amara movie, is perhaps the best Nollywood flick made in the diaspora this year. The movie which directed by one of Nigeria’s best directors, Bond Emeruwa is screenplayed by Joe Aihende and Victoria Aluta.
