Buhari Congratulates New IGP

President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the new Acting Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Kpotun Idris.

Buhari approved the appointment of Idris on Tuesday, June 21, 2016.

He is to replace Solomon Arase, who the President inherited from the immediate past government of Goodluck Jonathan.

Arase, who clocked 60 on Tuesday (today), attained the 35 years in service age for retirement.

The President met with Arase and Idris at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
