There was pandemonium in Osun State on Friday when some rival groups of thugs clashed at Egbatedo area of the state.
It was gathered that scores of residents were seriously injured while properties worth millions of Naira, including vehicles were badly destroyed in the melee.
According to reports, a notorious gang of thugs from Itakogun area of Osogbo stormed the den of another gang of thugs at Egbatedo, also in Osogbo, the state capital, with dangerous weapons including guns, cutlasses and axe maimed some boys at in the community.
It was learnt that during the bloody clash which lasted for over two hours, the hoodlums attacked anything they set their eyes on.
The incident left residents of the area in panic while some of them quickly rushed indoor to escape the wrath of the warring hoodlums. Commercial activities were brought to standstill during the fracas.
It took the invention of officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, to bring the situation under control.
