Reports say an EgyptAir flight heading from Paris to Cairo has gone missing. The unfortunate incident was said to have occurred in the early hours of Thursday.
It was learnt that the aircraft belonging to the popular airline disappeared from radar with 66 people on board.
It precisely had 56 passengers and 10 crew members on board.
EgyptAir confirmed the incident via its official Twitter page on Thursday.
There are speculations that the plane may have crashed in the Mediterranean Sea and search efforts are already ongoing.
EgyptAir explained that the aircraft took off from Paris’ Charles De Gaulle Airport shortly after 11pm local time.
