Governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Edo state, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, was arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes, EFCC.
Ize-Iyamu was apprehended on Tuesday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, over allegations of financial impropriety.
It was gathered that the man hoping to take over the Edo Government House from Adams Oshiomhole was detained by the anti-graft agency.
He was alleged to have bribed the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, officials during the 2015 general elections.
However, he was granted an administrative bail on Wednesday afternoon and told to return to the Commission on a later date.
