Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the last governorship election in Rivers State in 2015, Peterside Adol Dakuku, has been appointed as Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA.
Dakuku was appointed on Thursday by the Federal Government to take charge of the agency.
A statement signed by the Director, Press and Public Relations, of the Ministry of Transportation, Mrs Yetundue Sonaike, disclosed that the appointment is with immediate effect.
Dakuku, who holds a doctorate degree in Management Science (Organisational Behaviour), from the University of Port Harcourt, was elected member, House of Representatives in the 7th Assembly, where he served as Chairman, House Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream).
He has an MBA in Business Administration and a Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Science (B.MLs) in Haematology from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology.
