Gunmen Beheads APC Chieftain In Rivers

A top member of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Franklin Obiwas, has reportedly been killed by some unknown gunmen.

Obiwas is said to be a chieftain of the opposition party in the state, especially in Omoku, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, where he is said to be very prominent.

Reports further said Obiwas was not the only person killed by the gunmen, but members of his nuclear family.

Also murdered were his wife, Iheoma, and their 18-year-old son, Bestman.

They were said to have been slaughtered by the suspected hoodlums at their residence in Omoku at about 9pm on Saturday.
