Rico GQ Honours Mothers In New Single

London-based inspirational singer and instrumentalist, Rico GQ, has dedicated his latest singles to his mother and other mothers across the world.

The ‘Baba Ose’ crooner said his latest song, ‘Iya Mi’ (My Mother), is aimed at celebrating mothers and appreciating them for their sacrifices.

It is interesting to note that ‘Iya Mi’ is living up to expectation and is currently enjoying massive airplays both on radio and television stations.

Rico GQ said the single is timely, especially in celebration of Mothers’ Day and added that the single will make every mothers dance and shed tears of joy.

He also said ‘Iya Mi’ is a single that will make children reflect and think deep about their mothers and gear them to cater for their wellbeing if they had failed in that aspect in the past.

“This is track I have been putting together for a very long time now, it’s a song that really gave me sleepless nights and I thank God that the outcome is fantastic and excellent.

“I am very happy for the acceptance so far and I thank God for the inspiration because this is an evergreen song that will be passed to many generations to come. All my fans know me that all my past songs are all evergreen but this is unique,” says Rico GQ when he was asked about the inspiration behind the song.

‘Iya Mi’ was produced by Seun Oke of De Marves and was released under Rico GQ new record label, Geeq Entertainment.
