On Wednesday, February 3, 2016, the suit filed by the Lagos State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, against the Comptroller- General of Nigerian Customs Service and eight others would be heard.
Aproko247 gathered that the case would come up for hearing at the Federal High Court Ikoyi, Lagos by 9am.
NUJ sued the customs for allegedly assaulting a journalist named Yomi Olomofe around Seme border.
The NUJ sued for “the enforcement of Olomofe’s fundamental rights to life, dignity of the human person and freedom of expression and the press.”
The matter comes up for mention on Wednesday before Justice Anka.
