Kidnappers Want N40m From Ex-Presidential Aspirant

A former Presidential candidate and National Chairman of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria, ACPN, Ganiyu Galadima has been abducted by some gunmen at Osaro in Kogi State.

Galadima was kidnapped on Friday on his way to Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, to attend the burial of his elder brother.

According to reports, his abductors have contacted his family and have asked for a ransom of N40 million. It is not clear if the family is ready to pay the said amount for his freedom or negotiate it down.

Galadima was nominated by the ACPN as its presidential candidate in the March 28, 2015 presidential election, but lost to President Muhammadu Buhari.
