The third edition of the Ambassador Charity Awards is set to hold Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos, organisers of the event have confirmed.
According to the Project Co-ordinator of the event, Ebuka Peters, several dignitaries have indicated interest to grace the occasion, which recognises philanthropists, humanitarians, charity homes and foundations in Nigeria.
He informed First Weekly that the programme will commence by 3pm with a red carpet.
Peters explained that the ceremony was organised to commend those, who have added value to humanity by showing love, dedicating their time, donating, caring for the less privileged and the vulnerable in our society.
He stressed that ‘Ambassador Charity Award’ will celebrate such individuals and organisations and that it will encourage them to continue with their good works.
Peters said that nominations would be thrown open to members of the public to forward names of persons or organisations that have carried out charitable acts in the society.
