UNAOC Holds Open Meeting on Post-2015 Development Agenda
The Senate, on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, confirmed that a ministerial nominee, Amina Mohammed, would be screened as a nominee from Gombe State, not Kaduna.

There had been controversies over the true state of origin of Amina and there were moves to disqualify her.

Petitions were received from some indigenes of Kaduna State, who kicked against her nomination by President Muhammadu Buhari and urged the Senate not to confirm her as a minister.
