A former governor of Bayelsa State, Diepreye Solomon Peter Alamieyeseigha is said to have died.
DSP Alamieyeseigha, as he is fondly called, reportedly died on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, Rivers State.
He was the first executive governor of the South South state and a respected leader of the Niger Delta. Former president Goodluck Jonathan served as his deputy when he governed Bayelsa State.
Details of his demise are still very sketchy at as the time of filing in this report.
