Justice Danladi Yakubu Umar of the Code of Conduct Tribunal has ruled that the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase must produce Senate President, Bukola Saraki at the Tribunal on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 to answer allegations levelled against him.
The Judge ruled after resuming from a short adjournment on Monday, September 21, 2015 that since the Senate President failed to show up again, he is forced to take this step.
His counsel, Joseph Daudu, had argued that he was unable to produce Saraki because the Tribunal did not give a definite ruling on it last Friday when the Tribunal sat.
Saraki went to a High Court in Abuja to stop his arrest and hearing at the Tribunal, stating that due process was not followed.
