Aproko247 has learnt that the National Working Committee, NWC, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has suspended the Kogi State governorship primary earlier fixed for Thursday, September 10, 2015.
A statement issued on Wednesday by National Publicity Secretary of the party, Olisa Metuh, disclosed that the reason for the postponement is due to “some logistic issues pertaining to the exercise.”
According to Metuh, “The NWC reassures members of the party and other critical stakeholders, particularly the gubernatorial aspirants, of a transparent, credible, free and fair primary election.”
Meanwhile, he disclosed that a new date for the exercise has been approved.
He said the primary will now take place on Monday, September 14, 2015.
