Reports reaching us show that eight Group Executive Directors, GEDs, of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, have been sacked.
The termination of their appointment came barely 24 hours after President Muhammadu Buhari approved the appointment of Ibe Kachikwu as the Group Managing Director of NNPC.
In March 2014, former President Goodluck Jonathan appointed all the sacked GEDs.
The affected persons are Ian Udoh in charge of Refining and Petrochemicals; Adebayo Ibirogba, Engineering and Technical; Dr David Ige, Gas and Power; Dr Attahir Yusuf in charge of Business Development; Dr Dan Efebo, Corporate Services; Bernard Otti in charge of Finance and Accounts; Ms Aisha Abdurrahman, Commerce and Investments; and Joseph Dawha in charge of Exploration and Production.
