President Muhammadu Buhari held a closed door meeting with House of Representatives member, Femi Gbajabiamila.
The meeting was held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday evening. This is the second time the duo are having similar meetings.
Gbajabiamila was ‘anointed’ by leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to emerge Speaker of the House, but he lost the seat to Yakub Dogara, also of the APC.
Since Dogara’s emergence, the House has been in crisis. Even the intervention of the party has not yielded any meaningful result.
The House went into recess and is expected to resume on Tuesday. The meeting between Buhari and Gbajabiamila, we learnt was about the leadership tussle in the House.
However, after the meeting, Gbajabiamila declined speaking with newsmen.
