Six Perish In Yobe Church Attack

A suicide bomb attack at a local church on Sunday in Yobe State has left not less than six people dead, including the bomber.

The attacker, a male, detonated his IEDs while some worshippers were observing the Sunday service at a Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, in Potiskum, Yobe State.

Several others were reportedly injured in the blast and have been taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Toyin Gbadegesin, who confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, in Damaturu, the state capital, said that “five persons died on the spot,” while the other one gave up the ghost “while receiving treatment in the hospital.”
