Ignore Radio Biafra’s Hate Messages—NBC Begs Nigerians

Following ‘hate messages’ being broadcast on Radio Biafra and knowing what it could lead to, the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, has urged Nigeria to take the messages with a pinch of salt.

The broadcast regulating body in Nigeria, in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja by Director, Public Affairs of the commission, Awwalu Salihu, said the commission and the security agencies are doing everything possible to track the source of the broadcast.

The private radio station had posted on its Twitter handle that, “True Biafrans must go after the Hausa Fulani Yoruba ethnic bigots and dismantle their monumental bundle of illegality and lies against Biafrans.

“Go after them on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Viber, Whatsapp etc and all the platforms you find yourselves. We have only told them to stop the decades of injustices against us and they having nightmares. The journey has just begun!”

But the NBC wants Nigerians to ignore these messages and not be offended by them.

The statement said Radio Biafra was transmitting contents against the Nigeria Broadcasting Code and law.

NBC further urged Nigerians to continue working in the direction of a strong, united and prosperous nation.
