Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State has emerged the new Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum, PDPGF.
He was elected on Wednesday morning in Abuja to lead his other 12 colleagues in the Forum.
Mimiko now succeeds former Governor Godswill Akpabio, who is not a Senator in the National Assembly.
Akpabio was the pioneer Chairman of the body, which was formed during the leadership tussle in the Nigerian Governors Forum, NGF, between Rotimi Amaechi and Jonah Jang. Mimiko was then Akpabio’s deputy.
