President Muhammadu Buhari is back in the country from his trip to Germany for the G7 Summit meeting he attended since last week.
It was reported that the President arrived Nigeria in the early hours of Tuesday.
On his return, he quickly asked to be briefed on the crisis rocking his party, All Progressives Congress, APC, over who becomes the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Senate President.
After being briefed on the situation, he called for an emergency meeting with lawmakers-elect of APC and some party bigwigs. They are expected to meet by 9am on Tuesday (today) at the International Convention Centre in Abuja.
The inauguration of the 8th National Assembly will hold Tuesday.
