Patience Jonathan Back From Congo, Attends Farewell Service

Nigeria’s First Lady, Patience Jonathan, is back in the country after her trip to Congo for a launch of an NGO in Congo. She was invited to the country her Congolese counterpart alongside other African First Ladies.

Mrs Jonathan had been absent from public functions since her husband, President Goodluck Jonathan lost his bid to get re-elected into office for a second term in the March 28, 2015 presidential poll.

The Presidency, last week, released a statement to put a rest to controversies surrounding the First Lady’s whereabouts.

But Aproko247 has authoritatively learnt that Mrs Jonathan is back in the country.

She attended a farewell service held on Sunday in her honour and the President at the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Life Camp, Abuja.

The service was conducted by Most Reverend Nicholas D Okoh, the Archbishop and Primate of All Nigeria, the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion).

Mama Peace, as she is fondly called, was looking lively at the service on Sunday, May 10, 2015.
