FCMB Holds International Trade Forum In Aba

Prominent retail and commercial bank in Nigeria, First City Monument Bank, FCMB, storms the city of Aba, Abia State, on Thursday, November 13, 2014, for an interactive session with its customers in an event tagged ‘Customers’ Forum’.

The programme will also have the Bank’s international trade business stakeholders in attendance.

According to a statement made available to Aproko247, the event, put together by FCMB, is to enable the respected bank connect with its customers, enlighten and deepen their knowledge on international trade business as well as the initiatives being implemented by the Bank to take their businesses to the next level.

The interactive session is themed ‘Taking Customers Trade Business to the Next Level’ and will have the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Abdullahi Dikko Inde, as the guest speaker.

Inde will speak on the topic, ‘Pre-Arrival Assessment Report (PAAR) – Challenges: Present and Future’. Top executives of FCMB will also be in attendance.

The PAAR scheme was initiated by NCS in 2013 to fast-track the clearance of cargo and reduce costs at the nation’s ports.

The maiden edition of the Customers’ Forum was held in Lagos on September 11, 2014 and was largely successful. It brought together key stakeholders from the NCS, customers of FCMB and other stakeholders in international trade as well as the nation’s maritime sector.
