Husband of Nigerian Ambassador to the United Nations, Prof Joy Ogwu, Dr Aloysius Ogwu, has died, Aproko247 has learnt.
The man gave up the ghost on Monday in New York, USA, a statement issued on Thursday by the Permanent Mission of Nigeria disclosed.
Joy Ogwu is Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the world body.
Her husband died at the age of 77 and was a retired Chief Consultant Surgeon at the Military Hospital, Ikoyi, Lagos.
The statement added that deceased’s burial rites will be announced by the family later.
Late Ogwu is survived by his wife, children, grand-children, sisters and brothers.
