Boko Haram Attacks Obasanjo In Adamawa, Kills 23 Soldiers

No fewer than 23 officers of the Nigerian Army were on Monday feared dead by Boko Haram militants in Adamawa State.

Also, son of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Adeboye, was shot in the state by the insurgents as he led his team to battle the Boko Haram members.

Obasanjo was shot in both legs at Baza community, some kilometres away from Yola, the state capital, and was quickly rushed to the hospital for treatment. He sustained serious injuries, according to reports gathered by this magazine.

The young Obasanjo is an army engineer and a Lt-Colonel at the 3rd Division in Jos, Plateau State, but was deployed to Adamawa recently to fight the terrorists.

President Goodluck Jonathan had declared a total war on the Boko Haram group, which has recently moved to capture the north.

The group is responsible for several deadly attacks in the country, including in Lagos, where leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, claimed he masterminded a blast in Apapa early this year.
