Jonathan Finally Begs Obasanjo

Nigeria’s President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, has eventually agreed to get help of former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, who has criticised his government.

The Nigerian leader held a meeting with the former President at the Presidential Villa in Aso Rock, Abuja on Wednesday.

Both leaders discussed the present security challenge in the country, especially the Boko Haram group, which has taken over few communities in the north.

Obasanjo, addressing newsmen in Abeokuta on Wednesday after his arrival from the meeting, revealed that Jonathan had offered to meet him at his private home in Ogun State, but out of respect for his office as the President, he offered to meet him in Abuja.

Details of the meeting were not disclosed, but it is believed that Jonathan reached out to Obasanjo to help him end insurgency in Nigeria.
