The Enugu State House of Assembly has impeached the deputy governor of the state, Sunday Onyebuchi. The embattled Onyebuchi was removed from office on Tuesday morning by majority of the lawmakers.
His removal was as a result of the adoption of the report of the seven-man panel instituted to probe allegations of gross misconduct levelled against. Twenty-two out of the 24 members of the House signed his impeachment.
According to the panel, all allegations of gross misconduct levelled against Onyebuchi by the House were proved and his impeachment imminent. The leader of the House, Udeh-Okoye moved the motion for the adoption of the report on Tuesday.
