Heritage Bank’s Ambassador, Zuriel Ends Education Tour, Jets Out For US-Africa Summit

Brand ambassador for Heritage Bank, Zuriel Oduwole, has wrapped up her tour of six nations. Zuriel has been on the road for the Girl-Child education via her #followTheBallForEducation campaign, which has largely been successful.

The tour was brought to an end on Thursday, July 31, 2014, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. She visited the USA, Brazil, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Mauritius and South Africa in the over six-week campaign.

Before leaving Nigeria for the tour, Zuriel was received at the Lagos State House in Marina by the First Lady, Mrs Abimbola Fashola, who commended her incredible and stellar efforts, and signed the ball on behalf of the people of Lagos.

At the last lap of the campaign, Zuriel headed to Port Harcourt, the venue city of the 2014 World Book Capital, where she met the Project Director, Mrs Koko Kalango. She was formally made a Goodwill Ambassador for the Rainbow Book Club, and would use her initiative and developing global influence to encourage reading across all ages.

Later in the day, she met with the Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi, who also signed the Ball for Education. Also, Africa’s first Nobel Laureate in Literature, Professor Wole Soyinka, who was celebrating his 80th birthday, equally met with Zuriel and signed the Ball for Education.

Meanwhile, Zuriel has since travelled to the USA for the US-Africa Summit taking place in Washington DC, where President Barack Obama will be meeting with 54 African leaders and heads of governments, including President Goodluck Jonathan.

Zuriel, who has already met with and interviewed one in six of Africa’s Presidents, is considered the world’s most popular teenager and an emerging influential African of note.
