Resign Now–Buhari's Wife Tells Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan has been advised to resign from office due to an assassination attempt on former Military Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari, in a bomb attack in Kaduna some days ago.

Wife of Buhari, Hajiya Asiya, in a statement on Thursday, frowned at the incident, which almost claimed the live of her husband, and stated that Jonathan should emulate the former South Korean Prime Minister, Jung Hong-won, who resigned after about 300 persons died in a ferry accident in the country.

She asked, “Where is Jonathan? What is he doing? If action is not taken now, when?,” pointing out that, “It is not enough to verbally condemn (acts of terrorism); action is long overdue.”

According to her, “Nigerians have been dying daily, for the four years, hoping that government is going to do something, but we are tired of this insecurity and increased attacks on innocent people.”
