Desist From Inflammable Utterances—Navy Warns

The Nigerian Navy has warned prominent Nigerians to be careful of what they say so as not to heat up the already tensed-polity.

The country, as some would say, is sitting on a ticking time bomb waiting to detonate. Members of the Islamic sect called Boko Haram have carried out deadly attacks in some parts of northern Nigeria and there have been counter-accusations as to the sponsors of this group.

In its efforts to stop any total breakdown of law and order, the Nigerian Navy advised prominent personalities to work towards the peaceful co-existence in Nigeria.

“Prominent individuals should desist from inflammable utterances that could breach peaceful-coexistence in the country,” the Navy said via its Twitter handle on Wednesday.
