Fayose Vows To Accept Ekiti Poll Outcome

Candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, in the governorship election held in Ekiti on Saturday, Ayodele Fayose, has promised to accept any result announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The former Ekiti State governor revealed this shortly after casting his vote on Saturday afternoon at Unit 001 Polling Centre located at St David Primary School, Afao-Ekiti in Irepodun/Ifelodun local government area of the state.

Fayose disclosed that he will be pleased with the result whichever way it goes.

He also said, “I have campaigned enough, I did all that was necessary in this election; I know my people love me, but I will leave my fate to God.”

Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports put Fayose ahead of his main contender, Kayode Fayemi, who is the incumbent governor of the state.
