Authorities of the University of Lagos, UNILAG, have cancelled the increment on late registration of course fees they earlier imposed on the student, which sparked a protest.
Addressing the demonstrating students on Friday at the Senate Building, the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic & Research, Prof. Babajide Alo, ordered the reversal of the hiked fees for the course registration and other charges.
Alo also told students who had already paid the increased fees to meet their faculty officers with teller evidence for a refund. He urged the students to stay calm.
The school management had increased charges for late registration of courses from N10,000 to N25,000. The students protested this, describing it as obnoxious.
