Late Emir Of Kano, Ado Bayero Buried

The remains of the late Emir of Kano, Ado Abdullahi Bayero, was finally laid to rest on Friday evening after he died in the morning in Kano. The deceased passed on after a battle with an illness. His burial attracted a mammoth crowd in Kano.

The Federal Government delegation to the burial on Friday was led by the Vice President, Namadi Sambo, who represented President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Late Bayero died at the age of 83. He would have been 84 on July 25

Former CBN Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, an heir to the throne, was present at the burial as well as other notable personalities.

The late Emir was born on July 25, 1930, in Gidan Rumfa and was coronated as the 13th Emir of Kano in 1963. He was the longest serving Emir of Kano.
