Following viral rumour that former Minister of Information, Prof Dora Akunyili, was dead, her media aide, Isaac Umunna, has refuted the tale, describing it as “baseless and mischievous.”
Umunna, reacting to the reports, which again went viral on Friday, disclosed that the former NAFDAC boss was responding well to treatment in India, where she was recently flown to.
The aide stated that the death rumour is being spread by those who don’t wish Dora well.
Some days ago, there were reports that the ex-Anambra State governorship aspirant was dead, which was quickly debunked by Umunna. The former Minister’s health has attracted sympathy since she first appeared at the ongoing National Conference in Abuja. She was in the shadow of her former self when she stormed the Conference.
