Aluwe Hits Gold, May Become Glo Ambassador Soon

Information reaching Aproko247 indicates that telecoms giant, Globalcom Nigeria Limited, well known as Glo, may soon sign veteran comic actor, Sunday Omobolanle, better known as Pappy Luwe or Aluwe, as its brand ambassador.

According to an insider, the comic actor has been penciled down as the future ambassador of the mobile network provider.

We gathered that Pappy Luwe recently shot an advert for Glo along with two other comic acts; John Okafor otherwise known as Mr. Ibu and Saheed Mohammed aka Funky Mallam.

The source, who spoke with us under the condition of anonymity, explained that the trio were chosen to represent the three major tribes in Nigeria; Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba.

“Pappy Luwe, Mr Ibu and Funky Mallam shot a television commercial for a new Glo campaign called ‘Glo Borrow Me Credit’. They shot it with Sammie Okposo, who is already a Glo ambassador,” the insider told Aproko247.

“The three actors are now on the list of Nigerian celebrities that may eventually been signed as Glo ambassadors in the nearest future,” the source added. “The company has decided to be using comedians for their adverts,” the source also said.

From what we gathered, the three comic actors were paid well for the job, which was said to run into millions of naira. It was whispered to us that the acts were paid off for this campaign.
