Mavin Records Artiste, Korede Bello Moves About In Taxis

This piece of news might shock some ardent faithfuls of Don Jazzy, a top and award-winning music producer in Nigeria. This is because Don Jazzy is known to be a classy beat maker who has done well for himself, especially with his talents.

He is known to create beats that have produced hit songs. One cannot easily forget his impact on the success of ‘Oliver Twist’, which he did for D’Banj before the duo parted ways in 2012. To many, that is still D’Banj’s biggest song so far. Some have advised D’Banj to return to Don Jazzy in order to be ‘great again’.

After the ‘death’ of Mo’Hits Records in 2012, a label he co-founded with his former close business partner, D’Banj, Don Jazzy floated Mavin Records, which had Wande Coal, Dr Sid, D’Prince and Tiwa Savage as pioneer members.

Later, Korede Bello was added as artiste under the label. Korede is an RnB artiste, who has been hailed for his vocal dexterity.

When artistes are signed on to labels, their contracts always come with some incentives, which include cars, posh houses in choice areas, changing of their wardrobes and others. From what we reliable gathered from a source close to Korede, his label got him a car and a house in Lekki.

However, Aproko247 has observed that Korede has not been going about most times in the car given to him by Mavin Records. Some of his friends at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), where he is presently running an OND course, told us that the singer has not been using his car.

We were informed by multiple sources that Korede comes to school in chartered taxis and leaves as well with the same way.

‘Korede does not come to school with the car Don Jazzy gave him. He does not even leave in his house in Lekki. He comes to school in a charted taxi. I guess the boy wants to leave a low profile life. I like him for that. He is very simple and relates with most people in NIJ,” one of our sources divulged to us.

Recall that at the wedding of Korede’s label mate, Tiwa Savage, held in Dubai few weeks ago, Don Jazzy presented a car to the bride. Mavin Records’ artistes presently paint the town red in exotic cars and live in Lekki.
