Veteran Nigerian singer, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has lost his father to death. The musician’s dad, Justice Chukwudifo Oputa, breathed his last on Sunday, May 4, 2014 after a brief illness.
Late Oputa was a former Justice of the Supreme Court in Nigeria. He headed the popular Justice Oputa Panel under administration of ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo in 1999.
The deceased was born in Oguta on September 22, 1924.
