No fewer than 70 persons were murdered in villages in Katsina State. It was learnt that the gunmen killed whoever they found on their way as they rode motorcycles into the communities.
It is believed that the invaders were Fulani cattle rearers, who have consistently had issues with local farmers.
According to reports, victims of Wednesday’s attack were mainly men, women and children.
Meanwhile, the remains of some of the victims have reportedly been buried.
