Gunmen Murder 45 In Yobe School Attack

Suspected terrorists believed to be members of the Boko Haram group, on Tuesday, killed about 45 persons in Yobe State. The attack came barely 48 hours after the convoy of Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, was attacked by some insurgents near Maiduguri.

The invaders stormed Federal Government Girls College in Buni Yadi, the headquarters of Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State, killing some members of staff and students of the institution.

Also, some others were kidnapped by the gunmen, as the terrorists burnt many structures belonging to the school. They also razed the council’s secretariat complex, High Court among other government and private establishments including telecommunication masts.

The attack occurred at the early hours Tuesday while the students were fast asleep.
