I’m Fed Up With Life—Yetunde Akilapa Grieves

Following negative stories trailing her recently, budding Yoruba actress, Yetunde Akilap, has expressed sadness over her present situation and what she feels about her life at the moment.

In the last 11 months, the wannabe star has been in the news for the wrongs reasons. She was first accused of being in possession of a bunch of master keys in February 2013 and was charged to court for it. However, she was freed in November 2013 by the court.

After her release, in December, she told a Lagos-based magazine, First Weekly, that her friends framed her up. But barely a month after that interview, she was in the news again for an alleged offence similar to the first one she allegedly committed in February 2013.

She was reportedly beaten to a pulp by her accusers in Magodo Estate, where she was allegedly caught in a house with another bunch of master keys.

Reacting to the latest development, the actress, who is in the Odun Ifa caucus in the Yoruba movie industry, lamented that she’s fed up with life.

She admitted that her matter is spiritual and asked for help from Nigerians in solving her problem.

“My problem is spiritual. I can’t even explain the circumstance I found myself.  People should not ruin my life and career. I am fed up with life. I am not what people think I am. It’s mysterious,” Yetunde told Encomium magazine.

She stressed that “I have never been to Kirikiri Maximum Prisons as alleged. God, please help me out of this mess. As I am speaking to you now, I am in Ibadan, Oyo State seeking the face of God.  And I believe I will get out of this quagmire one day.”

When asked if she is a kleptomaniac as also alleged, she reacted, “I am not a kleptomaniac, I have not stolen anything.”
