Text Philia Communications Limited has honoured season entertainment journalist, Bayo Adetu, with an award of recognition. The company, on Wednesday, presented the award to the ace pen-pusher, who has distinguished himself in the journalism profession.
Adetu, while receiving the award, thanked the outfit for recognising his works. The journalist-cum-publicist of repute dedicated the award to God and his mentor, Femi Adepoju, another ace entertainment journalist presently in Ondo State as a media aide.
Presenting the award to Adetu, the CEO/MD of Text Philia Communications Ltd, David Olanrewaju, disclosed that Adetu was considered for the honour because he has consistently maintained “famous columns in a popular newspaper for about 10 years and for being a source of inspiration and a role model to thousands of youths in Nigeria.”
In his remarks, Adetu said, “this award is very precious to me because it was presented by people I don’t even know at all.
“They just called me on phone that they have been impressed reading my columns for the past five years, and would love to present a special recognition plaque to me. I’m very happy and it is also a challenge for me to keep the good work going.”
