Jonathan Mourns Death Of Soyinka's Daughter

President Goodluck Jonathan has expressed grieve over the death of the daughter of Professor Wole Soyinka, Iyetade, on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at UCH, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, who conveyed Jonathan’s condolence message, said that Jonathan, “on behalf of himself and the FG, extends [his] sincere condolences to Prof Wole Soyinka on the death of his daughter, Iyetade.”

Abati added that, “President Jonathan prays that God Almighty will comfort Prof Soyinka and all others who mourn his late daughter, Iyetade.”

Iyetade left behind two children. She died at the age of 48 of an undisclosed illness.
