Leader of the Boko Haram group, Abubakar Shekau, has berated Presidents Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria, Barack Obama of the United States of America and Fancois Hollande of France for making the world believe that he (Shekau) was dead. The wanted sect leader also lambasted the Queen of England, Elizabeth.
Shekau made this known in a short video clip posted online on Christmas Day. He insisted that he’s still alive, contrary to a widespread believe that he was killed by the Nigerian Army some months ago in a gun duel with the security officials in Borno State.
“They said I am dead, but here I am. The world should know that I am alive and will only die at the appointed time. Everybody should be judged according to the dictates of his conscience,” Shekau, who was dressed in a military uniform, boastfully said.
He further stated that the four leaders should be ashamed of themselves for believing that he’s dead. Shekau, who is wanted by the US government, further boasted that his group cannot be conquered by the Nigerian government, who has launched an offensive on them since May 2013.
Shekau noted that, “what I am doing is written in the Holy Qur’an and the Hadith and I will not stop,” challenging clerics all over the world to question his deeds. “Those underrating my capacity should have a re-think. I will never allow democracy to thrive,” he declared.
He pointed out that, “the concept of government of the people by the people for the people will never be possible and will never exist,” adding that, “democracy shall be replaced only by the government of Allah, from Allah and for Allah.”
