News report reaching us from Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, especially from the household of late strongman of Ibadan politics, Lamidi Adedibu, reveals that hard times may have hit them.
Aproko247 gathered that officials of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, have lately been embarrassing family members left behind by the former godfather to some politicians in the state.
Recently, staffers of PHCN reportedly stormed the Molete residence of the late politician with security agents to disconnect the power supply to the house due to the family’s inability to unsettle arrears of electricity bill to the tune of N2 million.
Those who should know squealed that some of the associates of late Adedibu, who have not deserted his family, threatened to deal with the PHCN workers, but they were prevented from carrying out their threats by some stern-looking security agents.
Wife of the late politician, Modinat, was said to have contacted one of her sons, Jubril, who wanted to allegedly bribe officials of the electricity company with the sum of N100,000, but they refused it.
Modinat later reportedly sought the help of friend of her late husband, Aare Abdulazeez Arisekola Alao on the matter.
