A 14-year-old girl has given birth to triplet in Bungoma County of Kenya. The teenager was delivered of the babies; three boys, on Sunday after undergoing a Caesarean Section at the Bungoma District Hospital where she was taken to on Saturday evening.
Two of the three boys weighed 1.5kg at birth while the other weighed 1.3kg. The mother of the triplet, identified as Mwanaharabu Wamukoya, hails from Harambee village in Kakamega County of Kenya.
Meanwhile, her boyfriend, a 16-year-old school dropout, has taken to his heels after the news was broken to him. He is said to do menial jobs for survival.
However, due to the recent law in Kenya that forbids hospitals charging women who put to bed, Mwanaharabu would be discharged for free from the hospital once the nurses permits her.
The nursing officer-in-charge of the hospital, Mary Marumbu, disclosed that the mother and her babies are in stable condition and are ready to go.
